Shungite and selenite two of our must-have crystals. Their energies are so noticeable, harmonizing and transformative that we cannot imagine living or working in a space without them. Oddly enough, these two crystals have two completely different energies, and represent the yin and yang energies (also referred to as the moon and sun energies, or ida and pingula energies in various traditions). Selenite holds a yin energy of gentleness, softness, transformation and femininity, while shungite healing holds a yang energy of power, logic, control, knowledge and masculinity.

Selenite crystal healing properties calm, heal and balance the body in a gentle and protective way. When you cleanse your body or home with a selenite cleansing stone, you notice a shift in the energy. There is lightness to your body and space that wasn’t there before. Selenite also protects you from your own emotions, allowing you to heal in a safe environment.

Shungite metaphysical properties on the other hand are more abrupt, awakening a physical or emotional detox. When you first practice shungite healing, it releases blockages, stirring up a ton of emotions and symptoms to draw your attention to the unresolved conflicts in your life. For example, if you notice you are having digestion issues after using shungite, it could be representative of your inability to digest the stress and emotions in your life. Once shungite has been in your environment and you’ve become accustomed to its energy, it helps prevent a build up of negative energy in your body, by fostering the slow and constant balancing of your root chakra.

Combining the energies of these two healing and protective stones provides us with the duality we need to maintain balance in our lives. The energetic combination of the selenite and shungite healing properties provides one of the most healing, diverse and transformational experiences we have felt. As the shungite brings up a volcano of emotions, helping you to detox the mind, body and spirit, the selenite is there to sooth and protect ourselves, creating a perfect synergy.

Ways to Use the Selenite and Shungite Healing Properties Together

Create a Protection Grid

Place shungite cubes in the four corners of a room. Near the doorway, place selenite cleansing crystals. Shungite neutralizes harmful, negative energies that exist in your space whether its from people or EMFs. Its energy is extremely grounding. Selenite prevents negative energy from entering a space, helping rid people’s energy field as they come into the space. It creates a constant flow of calming, positive energy.

Promote Sound Sleep

Combining a selenite crystal with a shungite sphere is a strong energetic pairing to promote restful sleep, alleviating insomnia, nightmares and anxiety. The shungite sphere works to eliminate that negative energy from your space while the selenite crystal emits a soothing energy throughout the bedroom.

Create a Meditation Vortex

Meditation is amplified when you add the dimension of healing crystals. To create a meditation vortex, place four shungite cubes in the four directions surrounding your meditation cushion. As your sitting in meditation position, hold selenite harmonizers in your hands. Selenite harmonizers create a pillar of light, so when you hold them in each hand, you have light surrounding your entire being. The four shungite cubes create a square base, and the harmonizers and crown of your head create a triangular formation. This has been an extremely intuitive meditation formula for us. You can add whatever other crystals your working with to your grid.
